Urban is excited to welcome Deborah Boe, PE, to the firm’s project management oversight team. Ms. Boe joins the firm with more than 40 years of experience in large, complex engineering and construction projects, with the last 30 years in project management.
“Debbie is a collaborative leader with strong technical skills who has excelled in project management, including the coordination of interdependent projects or activities, and in training,” said Urban Senior Vice President and COO for National Services William Thomsen, PE. “We look forward to her joining our PMO team and applying her well-regarded experience to our strategic growth goals and our high-level of client-focused service.”

Ms. Boe’s project management strengths include project risk assessment, cost and schedule management; evaluation of readiness/adequacy for project initiation or grant award; change assessment and change management; and claims analysis and claims support. Throughout her career, she has also become an expert in technical report writing, oral presentations, and group and workshop facilitation. She has years of experience working with the Federal Transit Administration and the development of transit projects, where she is experienced as both a task order manager and risk assessment manager working on multiple projects by multiple transit agencies.
A graduate of Drexel University, Ms. Boe earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in materials engineering. She is a longtime member of the American Society of Metals and the Society of Women Engineers, as well as the National Association of Corrosion Engineers. She is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Delaware.
