Urban Engineers was recently named a Diamond Level winner at GVF’s annual TDM Advocates Breakfast. The award represents the firm’s commitment to programs and initiatives that help reduce congestion and improve air quality, through transportation demand management (TDM) and best sustainable practices.

“We at Urban are proud to once again be recognized at Diamond Level status at GVF’s TDM Advocates Breakfast,” said Urban Transportation Marketing Coordinator Kate Mundie, who accepted the award on behalf of the firm. “Our firm and employees are committed to achieving the highest levels of sustainability in our day-to-day operations as well as our projects.”

“Congratulations to Urban Engineers on receiving Diamond level recognition,” said GVF Executive Director Rob Henry. “This recognition is the highest TDM Advocate level that we have. The leadership and the team at Urban has shown they are dedicated to caring about how their employees get to and from work which also helps our environment and is also great for business. Urban is a previous nine-time winner of the program. Diamond Level was added three years ago as a new goal for organizations to strive toward. Urban was recognized at this level for many of its programs, including offering incentives to employees for walking, biking, carpooling/vanpooling, or taking transit to work, and for offering the maximum pre-tax transportation benefit, as defined by the IRS.

The TDM Advocates Breakfast featured a keynote from Justin Schor, a TDM advocate and principal at Wells+Associates. Katie Katro, 6abc Action News reporter, served as the master of ceremonies, distributing sustainability awards to over 40 organizations.
