Urban Engineers is pleased to announce that Everett Bush received the ninth annual Edward M. D'Alba Leadership Award Scholarship. Everett will attend Penn State University in the fall. Ken Fulmer, Urban's President and CEO, attended a special event to present the scholarship.
The Edward M. D'Alba Leadership Award Scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior in the Philadelphia City Rowing program who demonstrates leadership on and off the water. Everett received the scholarship at the Philadelphia City Rowing end-of-season event along Boathouse Row.
Philadelphia City Rowing is an organization that aims to empower local public school students through the sport of rowing. The sport instills discipline, perseverance, and teamwork, reinforcing invaluable lessons that extend into all areas of life.
Mr. Edward D'Alba served as the president and CEO of Urban until his retirement in 2016. He is a longtime rower and athlete who found great success in the engineering field and always maintained his passion for rowing. To honor his service, Urban Engineers dedicates this scholarship to a promising individual who is an optimist, dreamer, and achiever whom others look to for guidance and trust.
