Patrick Williams, PE, LEED AP, who serves as Associate Vice President and Southwest Regional Leader at Urban, has been honored with the 2023 Engineer of the Year award by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Dallas Branch. The Engineer of the Year award recognizes established engineers who have made outstanding contributions to civil engineering, public welfare, and humankind.

In his role at Urban, Patrick oversees the operations of Urban’s Dallas County office’s multi-million-dollar annual revenue and the planning, engineering, program/construction management, and inspection services for the Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and New Mexico areas. Patrick is a multi-faceted leader in the markets and services that Urban offers to our clients, such as design and management of integral projects in aviation for Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and the Dallas Airport System; rail and transit for Dallas Area Rapid Transit, Trinity Metro, Cap Metro, and Rock Region Metro; surface transportation for the City of Dallas and TxDOT; and numerous infrastructure developments.

 A 2004 graduate of Drexel University, his college proudly named him among the esteemed Top 40 Under 40 Professionals from the countless alumni around the world. He also received the Engineering News-Record (ENR) Top Professionals 40 Under 40 recognition for the Texas and Louisiana Region. After this honor, the publication continued in the evaluation of Patrick’s qualifications and named him the coveted ENR Top Professionals 20 Under 40 for the entire nation.

Founded in 1852, ASCE is the nation’s oldest engineering society and has more than 150,000 members worldwide.
