Urban is pleased to announce that it has received Third Party Agency Certification from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This certification allows the firm to act as a construction code official for municipalities throughout the state.

Urban has performed expert controlled and special inspections per Chapter 17 of the International Building Code for more than 20 years. The firm’s controlled and special inspection services have reduced damages and loss for clients. As further testament to its commitment to building owners, Urban holds and maintains ISO 9001:2008 Quality Certification, the definitive quality standard for consulting firms.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, all third-party agencies that provide Uniform Construction Code services for municipalities, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or residential property owners in municipalities which opt out of Uniform Construction Code administration and enforcement, must be certified.
