Urban is pleased to announce that the firm’s Philadelphia office raised $315 for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) during a luncheon held in support of International Women’s Day on March 8. With a guaranteed donation match from the firm, Urban will be donating $630 to the organization.

“Urban has been proud to celebrate International Women’s Day every March, and we are excited to provide this donation to SWE as our charity of choice for this year,’” said Kenneth Fulmer, president and CEO of Urban. “Because of our generous staff's enthusiasm to support the organization through their own donations, we applied a corporate match.”

The mission of SWE is to, “empower women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expand the image of the engineering and technology professions as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrate the value of diversity and inclusion.” The organization upholds the same goals as International Women’s Day - a commitment to women's equality, celebrate women's achievements, and raise awareness against bias.
