Urban is pleased to announce it has joined the International Bridge, Tunnel & Turnpike Association (IBTTA). The organization is the worldwide association for the owners and operators of toll facilities and the businesses that serve them.
“Urban has been a key player in preserving and rehabilitating some of our country’s oldest and most heavily-traveled limited-access and tolling infrastructure since its inception,” said Gary Etter, PE, an Urban vice president and liaison to the IBTTA. “It is important to us as a firm to support organizations like IBTTA that advocate for the best interests of our clients and the transportation community worldwide.”
“IBTTA is pleased to welcome Urban Engineers to the IBTTA community. We salute their efforts to deliver responsive, innovative, and sustainable transportation solutions that respect communities, enhance mobility, and increase the safety of people and roadways,” said Pat Jones, Executive Director and CEO, IBTTA. “We look forward to working with the professionals at Urban Engineers to advance the tolling and transportation industries.”
Founded in 1932, IBTTA has members in 23 countries on six continents. Through advocacy, thought leadership, and education, members are implementing state-of-the-art, innovative user-based transportation financing solutions to address the critical infrastructure challenges of the 21st Century.
