Urban is pleased to announce Abbey Gancz, PE, LEED AP, was elected vice president of WTS Philadelphia’s 2021-2022 executive board. She previously served as the board’s recording secretary.
“I am honored to be elected vice president of WTS Philadelphia’s executive board,” said Ms. Gancz. “WTS has been a very important organization to me and has helped foster my professional growth. I look forward to continuing the organization’s mission in my new leadership role.”
Ms. Gancz serves as a project manager in Urban’s transportation group out of the firm’s Philadelphia headquarters. She is a graduate of WTS’ Mid-Career Leadership Program. Professionally, Ms. Gancz has worked on some of Philadelphia’s most important projects for Urban, including the ARLE-funded Citywide Intersection Improvements, South Broad Street Pedestrian Safety Improvements, and the Roosevelt Boulevard Enhanced Bus Service Stations. She is a graduate of Drexel University.
WTS Philadelphia, a local chapter of WTS International, is a group focused on promoting the development and advancement of women in the transportation industry in the Delaware Valley region since 1979. The organization hosts an awards event annually recognizing people, projects, and organizations who align with the WTS mission.
