Urban is pleased to announce that Mark Kinnee, PE, has been named to the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Highway Information Association (PHIA). Mr. Kinnee serves as a senior vice president at Urban.
“It is a privilege to support this important state organization that is dedicated to an efficient and safe highway system for the commonwealth,” said Mr. Kinnee. “I look forward to continuing PHIA’s mission and representing the views of others in the highway design industry.”
Mr. Kinnee's experience is strongly rooted in the design and management of highway engineering projects. He has a diverse range of public and private clients throughout the tri-state area. His portfolio includes several notable projects for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, and the Delaware Department of Transportation.
Mr. Kinnee is a registered professional engineer in five states, including Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers and American Council of Engineering Companies. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Villanova University.
PHIA is Pennsylvania’s leader in educating the public on the importance of a safe and modern highway system. The organization’s mission is to help policymakers, the media, and the public understand that economic prosperity and a good quality of life simply cannot exist without a sound highway system. PHIA was formed in 1960 when various highway-related industry groups saw the need for increased highway funding and the elimination of the peaks and valleys of the highway construction program.
