Meet Rose Rinker, a Highway Engineer who is a driving force behind Urban's community-enhancing projects. With Professional Engineering (PE) credentials and a civil engineering degree from the University of Delaware, Rose brings dedication and passion to every aspect of her work.

Since joining Urban, Rose has continuously sought opportunities for growth. Her professional journey includes significant contributions to projects that positively impact communities, like the Old City Market Street Improvements project. Rose plays a key role in enhancing community safety through multimodal initiatives such as bus bump-outs and elevated bike lanes. Rose cites this project as a rewarding experience that enhances the community and provides valuable professional learning through its challenges.

Outside of work, Rose generously devotes her time to volunteering, exemplifying her spirit of giving back and inspiring the next generation. For two consecutive years, she volunteers as a mentor for the Future City Competition, guiding student teams in their preparation for the competition. She is actively engaged in the WTS TransportationYOU program that focuses on introducing STEM to girls aged 13-18. Rose is also a board member of the Urban Young Member Forum (UYMF), which aims to give young professionals within Urban a voice. UYMF activities include organized community service days, professional development initiatives, and networking events.
